howdy

Post by Porkchop Express

Hey there folks. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Now it's back to business as the new week begins. Looks like this week is shaping up to be a real banger. All kinds of things are going down. Did anybody else get thier pumpkins this weekend? Well I did, and I got some decorations for the house too. I just absolutley adore this holliday. And I don't even like candy. I just like dressing up like a total spaz and freaking people out. Last year I went to this spooky party where the host was dressed up as Jack Burton. If you don't know who that is, then you really should watch Big Trouble in Little China. Cool.
Oh yeah, my buddy made some cornish game hen this weekend also, sounds pretty good, especially if you pair it up with a nice pinot.

senseless babble

I'm just going to start writing and see where it leads me. Basically things are extremely boring around these parts between the hours of 9-5. I'm seriously about to have a severe mental breakdown. The one thing keeping me going at this very moment is the combination of Steve Winwood playing on my computer and the fact that it is 3:30 in the afternoon, which means the day is almost over. As soon as I leave, I think I will drive to the beach to check the surf and breathe in some fresh ocean air. Take a few long deep breaths, and just unwind. After that I'll be all good. I can go surf, take the dog for a walk, do some work in the yard, maybe some stretching, or possible a couple rounds of intense breathing excercises. I can do whatever I want until I get back to my cube tomorrow morning, and that is the greatest feeling in the world. I got a pretty badass new wallpaper on my computer today also. It is an areial shot of sunset beach in Hawaii, and the water is so inviting looking. I wish I was independently wealthy so I could bail out to some tropical destination, and just surf, and fish, and read a good book, and bronze, then on Sunday go find some place with a satelite dish and watch the BOLTS.

Raising the bar

Post by John Henry Samuelson

Twas a hot autumns night, and the moon was high, as was I. As i looked to the sky, I had to ask myself why? Yet I got no reply, and I started to fly. Had I come to die? Was there tricks being played on my mind. I couldn't decide, I have not lied, but have often tried, to reach the other side. Now, as I glide, I cannot hide from what's inside. This is no fable, so how was I able, to fly so stable, without saftey cables, or the help of tables? Well thanks to Johnny Walker and his glorious labels.

Octoberfest

Got some announcements to make for the upcoming month.
First off, NSS Riders Chad Knight, Kristian Svitak, and Dan Nepscha, will be premiering the new 1031 Skateboards viedo "Turn up the Hell" on Halloween night, ant Hensley's Flying Elaphant Bar and Grill in Carlsbad. Kristian's band, The Heartaches, will be performing live as well. It should be a spooktacular event for the skateboarding community. Kristian really loves premier's, so if you see him, tell him thanks and ask him questions too.
Second, NSS Pro and bro, Brian Sumner will be coming to a television set near you. The reality based TV show "The Uprising" which stars Brian, Christian Hosoi, and Jay Haizlip is set to debut later this month. For more info, please checkout this website.

Thirdly, on Saturday Oct. 25th., Blendz, a sweet restaraunt in Oceanside, will be hosting a demo/customer appreciation event. Chad and Kristian, who also ride for Blendz will be on hand, signing posters, serving food, teaching kids how to skate, and passing out free NSS shoes. Should be great time for the youth of America. This will take place between 12:00-3:00pm in the parking lot.
Have a great weekend.
